SASHIMI-HOLIC!!

Helo everyone...I'm here today to confess..."I'm a SASHIMI-HOLIC" & I enjoy every bit of being one
(^-^)

My kids says Im 'Predictable' when it comes to where I wanna eat comes..birthdays, Mother's Day or any special occasions. I must admit they are quite bored of having Japanese every special occasion but I'm never bored and they smilingly pleases me each time (thanks kids...\(^3^)/ )
And where other than my favourite joint ~ Sakae Sushi www.sakaesushi.com.my. Eventhough there is no Sakae Sushi Branch here in my hometown we don't really mind travelling all the way to Prai or Penang just to enjoy the delicious menu that they have to offer, and each time we always come back satisfied =)

Just for those who don't really know what Sashimi really is, SASHIMI (Japanese: 刺身) is a Japanese delicacy. It primarily consists of very fresh raw seafood, sliced into thin pieces, and served with a dipping sauce (usually soy sauce with wasabi paste or grated fresh ginger), and shredded radish. Many different kinds of fresh fish and seafood are served raw in the Japanese cuisine. Sashimi, while similar to sushi, is distinct for its absence of vinigered rice. When slices of fish are served on top of a small ball of rice, it is called nigiri sushi.

Some of the most popular main ingredients for sashimi are:
  • Salmon ( Sake) ~ My all-time favourite (^-^)b
  • Squid (いか Ika)
  • Shrimp (えび Ebi)
  • Tuna (まぐろ Maguro)
  • Mackerel (さば Saba)
  • Octopus (たこ Tako)
  • Fatty Tuna (とろ Toro)
  • Yellowtail (はまち Hamachi)
  • Scallop (ほたて貝 Hotate-gai)
Some sashimi ingredients, like octopus are sometimes served cooked because of its chewy nature. Most seafood, such as tuna, salmon, and squid, are served raw.

Looks so tempting dosen't it?? Just writing about it makes me hungry..lol
Why don't you go and have a try ...and who knows..you'll turn out to be a SASHIMI-HOLIC...just like ME \(^-^)/

LET'S GO !!!!!!

True Meaning of MARRIAGE

My thoughts on MARRIAGE....

INSTITUTION OF MARRIAGE

What is this so called Institution of marriage?  Why did so many marriages end up in break-up and divorces?
Many marriages failed just because they misunderstood the true meaning of marriage.

Many couples think that once they are in love, the next step is to have the Wedding and then the Honeymoon...but no matter how wonderful the Wedding and Honeymoon may be but when it comes to reality, many do not really think of the lifelong commitment ahead.

Yes....falling in love is something really wonderful, it makes u feel so happy and warm inside..on cloud 9 as some people describe it....... But remember, marriage cannot survive on just Love alone, no matter how much you say you
love each other.  Going in marriage merely on Love alone is not at all enough.

A marriage needs more than just LOVE to survive....

The moment the wedding ring is slipped into the finger and the 'I do' s said....you are committed to each other.  You can no longer have your total freedom as before...because each and everything you do, there is now your Other Half to think of and consider how your actions and decisions will affect him or her.  Certain sacrifices will have to be made.

To some, they have lived through it and found that marriage is something wonderful.  Maybe it's because they have lots in common and are sensitive to each other's needs, understand the meaning of  sharing and give and take, understand what are the needs of their spouse and always understand and are willing to admit their mistakes...and change them ... for the love of each other.  Could this be the key to a happy and successful marriage??
Well ... I belief this is the most important in amy marriage.

So ... think wisely before you take the next step .... Go ahead if you are ready to take the vow and commitment for a lifetime of happiness.

A Little Story.....

I would like to share with you a little story..my 1st written story that cropped into my head one dull day at work..so the story goes........

GOING HOME

The lake glistened like millions of diamonds, warmed by the colorful rays of the setting evening sun.

A cool breeze blew across her face, lifting her long soft golden hair as if it floats with the wind.  She looked up at the birds flying back home to the warmth of their nests.  She thought how lucky they are to be so free..to go where ever their wings may take them.

Up by the edge of the lake..the trees swayed, as if dancing to the tune of the blowing wind.
he soft sound of a pair of squeaking squirrels caught her attention.  She watched as they scurried to and fro and finally disappeared into the comforts of their warm nest.

She turned her attention once again towards the lake, watching the beautiful sunset until it disappeared beyond the distant horizon..taking with it the sparkling diamonds that was floating on the surface of the waters.

As the orange golden sunset turned into night..she gazed up into the sky filled with millions of sparkling stars.  Mother nature has her ways of making the world beautiful, even in darkness, the thought to herself.

The sounds of chirping birds and squeaking squirrels quietened down and the sound of the night crickets caught her ears.  They seem as if they are singing to an orchestra, the thought.  How pleasant it was to her ears.  She had always loved watching the sunset turn into night.  It seem like its another world of its own.

Hundreds of tiny lights began to appear by the edge of the trees. "Ahh! The fireflies are back!", she said to herself, bringing a broad smile to her oval shape face.  She looked so ever lovely..with her large eyes..petite nose and ever so beautiful captivating smile, that could even melt the coldest mountain.

Soon they seem to look like tiny twinkling stars all around her.  It seems like the fireflies were dancing to the rhythm of the orchestra of crickets.  She had always enjoyed the soothing tune of the crickets..singing in the night, and whats more with the breathtaking sight of the glowing fireflies, makes the long wait so worthwhile, she thought to herself.

The grass tickled her fingers as she gently stroked it with her hands. It's soft feeling seem too inviting to resist.  She lifted her long golden strands as she laid upon the cool grass heaving a long sigh of relief.  As she lay on the soft cool grass enjoying the heavenly sight around her, her thoughts wandered off to the time when she was a little girl.  She could see herself frolicking in the fields... without a care in the world.  Each time she turned around.. mom and dad would always be there... watching over her... protecting her.

How she wished time would turn itself around... she missed the smile and laughter of dear old daddy and the warm comforting arms of her mother.  She remembered them so vividly, as if it was yesterday.  Silently she thanked them, for all the love they had showered upon her.  They are like her very heart and soul.  They are the ones who have nurtured her to be what she is today.  Her love for the wilderness came from them too.

She then told herself..that this is the life for her.. this is home now.  She gazed at the small cottage standing majestically upon a hill not too far away.  She felt so at peace here, the country is where her heart is.  No more hustle and bustle of city life... she finally is back where she feels she really belongs.

She got up and silently bade goodnight to mother nature.  she hummed a tune as she slowly strolled back to her cottage...a tune so familiar to her.  She could feel as if mum and dad are singing along with her.... in her heart... I miss u mum and dad......

Life comes with no guarantees, no time outs, you just have to live life to the fullest;
Laugh as much as you can,
Smile until your face hurts,
Tell that special someone just how much they mean to you,
Do what you have always dreamed of doing..dance in the pouring rain or fall asleep
just watching the sun come up far beyond the horizon,
Don't be afraid to take chances....or fall in love
And most of all...
Live in the moment..because
When you look back someday..knowing you have no regrets doing all those things you had dreamed of..
It's going to be what makes u smile =)
